It was 1918 and Roger Pothelthwaite had safely survived the horrors of the trenches thanks to one of the employees of his fathers artificial nose factory. When Roger arrived home he found that all of the local men were in desperate need of entertainment, so Roger in true style moved a run down old shed onto the nearest cow field dug out some old bats and delcared the opening season of the Knowl Hill Cricket Club.
I know that this is not the correct version of the history of the club but until someone can provide better it will have to do..... |
